Prof. Nikki Robertson (MB ChB, PhD)

Nikki is a clinician scientist and has been researching melatonin and other potential therapies for babies with HIE for more than 20 years at UCL. Nikki works as a consultant neonatologist at UCLH; she has a keen focus on improving outcomes for babies across the world. Nikki has been a mentor and supervisor to >25 PhD students, is a Board member of the Newborn Brain Society and has published over 250 original research articles relating to brain protection in babies.  
Dr. Raymand Pang (MB ChB, PhD)

Ray is a neonatal doctor and researcher who has developed his interest in melatonin and neuroprotection for babies with HIE during his PhD under the supervision of Professor Nikki Robertson at UCL. He has published research articles on melatonin in preclinical studies. In addition to interests in neuroprotection, he is also interested in how biomarkers can be used as tools to understand HIE and target babies who are most likely to benefit from future therapies.
